Linc's Fabric Works
The fabric collages are created on canvas or wood . The work usually begins with a photograph Linc has taken. First he creates a detailed sketch on wood or canvas. The appropriate fabrics are then selected and cut to fit the drawing. The color, design and texture of each piece of fabric must be considered. It must not only work to create the desired image but complement the pieces next to which it is placed. Of late Linc has increasingly incorporated three dimensional aspects.
Next the fabrics are glued to the canvas, covering the entire surface, using a medium gel. Finally acrylic paints are used to add details as well as light and dark accents. Some pieces are then covered with gloss gel.
